Privacy policy

RedditVideoDownloader ("we", "us", "the site") operates redditvideodownloader.org. This page explains what information we collect when you use our Reddit video downloader and how that information is handled.

What we collect

When you paste a Reddit link, our server fetches the post data from Reddit's public API to extract media URLs (video, audio, image). We do not store the links you paste, the media files, or track which posts you look up. The fetched data is returned to your browser and immediately discarded.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g. page views, general location by country, device type). This data is not tied to your Reddit activity or the links you download.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies, limited to what's required for basic site functionality and, if enabled, advertising. If we display ads, our ad partners may use cookies to serve relevant advertising in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Third-party content

This tool fetches media URLs from Reddit's public API and provides you with direct download links. Media files are downloaded directly from Reddit's own servers (reddit.com, redd.it, v.redd.it) to your device — we do not host or cache any content.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
