The simplest Reddit video downloader online
Most Reddit video downloader tools promise a one-click save, then bury you in ads, redirects, or broken links once Reddit changes something on their end. This tool fetches media directly from Reddit's servers and gives you clean download links — video, audio, GIF, or images — with no middleman.
Works for video, GIF, and image posts
Fetches v.redd.it videos (with separate audio), Reddit-hosted GIFs, and image or gallery posts — all with direct download links.
No account, no app
Paste a link, click download. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Privacy-first by design
We fetch media directly from Reddit — no files are stored on our servers. See our privacy policy.
Common questions
Is this Reddit video downloader free?
Yes. RedditVideoDownloader is completely free with no download limits and no account required.
Does it actually download the file for me?
Yes. Paste a Reddit link and we fetch the media directly from Reddit's servers, giving you download links for videos, audio, GIFs, and images. The download happens through your browser.
Can I download Reddit videos with sound?
Reddit stores video and audio as separate files. We provide both download links — save the video and audio separately, then merge them with any free video editor or tool like ffmpeg.
Does this Reddit downloader work on mobile?
Yes. The tool is built mobile-first and works in any modern browser on iOS and Android, no app install needed.
What Reddit links are supported?
Paste any reddit.com post link, a shortened redd.it link, or a direct v.redd.it video URL, and we'll fetch the media for you.
Is it legal to download Reddit videos?
Downloading content for personal, offline viewing is generally fine. Re-uploading or redistributing someone else's content without permission may violate copyright or Reddit's terms, so always credit the original creator.
Why can't I download a specific post?
The post may be private, deleted, quarantined, or from a subreddit that restricts embedding. Some posts also just link out to an external site rather than hosting media directly on Reddit.
